2010 Emmy Awards: From the Feet Up

I don’t care too much about who won at the 2010 Emmy Awards. What I care about is who wore who on their FEET.

Since last year’s Oscar Shoe Post was such a hit, here’s round two. Hint: this year it was about paring wacky dresses with amazing shoes.

The usually very elegant Rita Wilson wore head-to-toe Spring 2010 Prada straight off the runway (obviously not ALWAYS a great idea…). While I will refrain from commenting on the dress, I am madly in love with her $1,024 (on Bluefly) Prada Chandelier shoes.  (you knew that!)

She may be showing up on the “worst-dressed” lists for her oddly structured bodice, but January Jones earned an A+ for paring simple black Brian Atwood heels ($580) with her intricately detailed dress.

Anna Paquin sported the IT shoe of the year, the YSL pump ($760 at YSL.com) paired with a stunning beaded neckline and her stunning new husband.

Keri Russel wore a fairly simple dress (that color looks great on her!) and paired it with shoes by Jimmy Choo (“Lance” for $695 from JimmyChoo.com.)

…the dress is leaving me questioning her stylist’s dedication, but Mindy Kaling’s $1,275 Alexander McQueen shoes (via Bergdorf’s) love positively stunning.

Jenna Ushkowitz is rocking what I’m referring to as my “holy grail” of shoes because for the life of me I can’t recall what these shoes are. I KNOW I’ve seen them and I am just failing miserably at remembering. Maybe I should call this blog “shoe-a-not-every-day.” Anyone think they know who this shoe is by?

Naya Riveria, of Glee fame, rocks what is, without a doubt, my favorite look of the evening (minus the hair-don’t). Of course, I love any dress that is made simply to show off shoes. And these Choos (in bronze, compared to Keri Russel’s shoes in gold) are so amazing. The hair, the clutch, the dress…I love it! Happy 2010 Emmys!
