GIVEAWAY! Happy 1st Birthday to Shoe a Day!

September 3, 2010

Oh my gosh… My blog is one year old on September 4 (that would be tomorrow!!!)

Seriously, how awesome do you feel when you get to milestones like that? I feel like my norm is to start a cool thing like a blog and give it up after a few weeks. But though a year of  love, hate, breakups, makeups, sickness, health, life-changing decisions and above all, shoes, you’ve all been witness to my nutty soul & soles. I am so freaking excited that I’m turning the tables on YOU.

For my one year anniversary, I’m giving away……

A PAIR OF SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (who didn’t guess that, I mean, c’mon guys…it’s my thing) How do you enter? It’s simple:

GoJane.com is by far my favorite internet spot for shoes. So, to enter this competition you have to find me a LOOK FOR LESS! It’s super simple:

1. Find a link to a fabulously expensive pair of shoes that you drool over.

2. Find a link to a fabulously NOT expensive look for less on GoJane.com.

3. Post both links in the comment section below. I’m going to keep this open for a week, and the best Look for Less (as judged by myself and Shuttles) wins the shoes in their look from GoJane!

4. Since I rock, I will leave this up for exactly ONE WEEK. You have until Friday, September10 at 11:59pm to enter! I will chose my favorite and post it by Monday, September 12.

Ready? Set…. GO!

Ok. So I’m IN LOVE with the Yves Saint Laurent platform heels. I see them in all the red carpet photos and would LOVE to rock them. Especially these in the grey:

    http://ysl.com/us/en/onlineBoutique/Women/Shoes/Pumps/P-Iconic-Platform-Pump-in-Grey-Leopard-Calfskin.aspx

And of course, without fail, Go Jane has them in three colors, including GREY, very similar…

So I want those. Stat. In a 10, thanx.

The suede military bootie is a really cute look for fall.
    Louboutin has a high-end version here: http://www.shoehunting.com/find/view/13051/
and Guess has a more affordable version here: http://www.shoeshipper.info/brands.php?brand=GUESS&sort=pricehi
but GoJane has the most affordable (and in my opinion the cutest!) version here: http://www.gojane.com/48482-shoes-suede-military-bootie.html

and just because i think these are jaw-droppingly amazing, check out these Mai Lamore shoes: http://elitechoice.org/2007/11/14/mai-lamores-rose-shoes-bites-you-for-27945/
i think these GoJane shoes are a decent inspired-by choice: http://www.gojane.com/46355-shoes-ruffle-back-suede-heel.html

Ahhh, what a fantastic and FUN giveaway! Congrats on one year, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHOE A DAY!

As for an entry, of course I can’t resist! Especially since I’ve wanted these Azzedine Alaia mesh and suede booties ever since they debuted… How adorable are they?

    http://www.myprestigium.com/fashion/uk/azzedine-alaia/ankle-boots/AzzedineAlaia-boots-31112.htm

I’ve even been stalking Ebay for them, but wouldn’t you know it, the $700+ price tag is still well out of my budget.

So… Can you imagine how flipping STOKED I was when I saw these gorgeous kicks?! And, dare I say it, they’re even more adorable than the Alaias!

    Good luck to everyone!

    This is a great giveaway!
I am in love with the new Christian Louboutin’s seen here:

Of course, over $1,300. Just a tad out of my college budget.

GOJANE.com has a similar pair, which, to me, are just as fabulous!

I absolutely adore anything made by Steve Madden, unfortunately I can only afford about 2-3 pairs a year. Here’s a pair of booties I fell in love with and absolutely wish I could rock on my feet right now:

    http://www.stevemadden.com/item.aspx?id=52524&path=|womens%20shoes|womens%20booties|

And here is a VERY similar take on the shoe by GoJane…la la loooove these! I’ll take a pair in a size 8.5 por favor!

This is such a great idea to advertise the site, good goin!

i like these steve madden boots: http://www.stevemadden.com/item.aspx?id=46682

& these are very similar from gojane: http://www.gojane.com/45543-shoes-cuffed-faux-suede-slouch-boot.html

    I love these: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3033609?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_pla=shoes:women:boots&cm_ite=kors_michael_kors_%27lucille%27_boot:263956&cm_ven=Froogle&mr:trackingCode=3AD559DC-5AB8-DF11-904F-002219319097&mr:referralID=NA

but I think ones without heels and with a shorter shaft length would be better for me since I’m petite so these ones from gojane would be good: http://www.gojane.com/45544-shoes-slouchy-suede-boot.html & in brown too, the chestnut colored ones will get dirty easily.

Happy birthday, too! How fast, it’s been a year already, congrats!

I found this “Christian Louboutin” AWESOME; GORGEOUS SHOESSSS…. that i will definitely die for ….They’re un velvet/ sued fabric, super duper tall and has this cute “cut-out” look!!!!

    http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524446371766&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=282574492709363&bmUID=iHTZ62T&ev19=2:4

Then I found THE EXACT SAME LOOK i was dying for, but with a “very little difference” in price of $1,465.00

I also noticed that they have this pair of shoes not only in black, but also in grey & red too….I also noticed that they have this pair of shoes not only in black, but also in grey & red too….In fact the first color you see when you go to the gojane’s link is red, but if you look at the black ones, you would see how similar they are!!!!

Which made me realized that Gojane does not only have great prices, but they have great variety of colors…I found myself liking the red ones more!!!!

    http://www.gojane.com/48536-shoes-cut-out-velvet-peep-toe-heel.html

Please!!! Examine well the two BLACK PAIRS of shoes to see how similar they!!!

I’m dying for some military inspired boots. I found these ones on piperlime (which has some cheaper shoes, but most are out of my student budget)

    http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=51754&vid=1&pid=768953&scid=768953002

And I found these ones on Go Jane

    http://www.gojane.com/48482-shoes-suede-military-bootie.html

The Go Jane ones actually look more comfortable and like I could actually wear them around campus!
