Neiman Marcus Fall Preview Book Review

August 9, 2010

Not sure if they’re still working on it or something (because usually a blast e-mail is sent our and I’ve not gotten one) but you can access it here. But first, let’s cover the shoe-news:

Here’s what’s in. Can we please steer clear of ponchos and vests? Kthaxbye. Also….EWWWW clogs are in that pic. NO! Bad, Neiman Marcus! Bad! But trends in shoes this fall are: Green, Military, Feathers, Lace, BOOTS, and Fur.

The shoes aren’t linked, but I love that dancing shoes are so popular for autumn. Also, I hate real fur. As Ken Downing, NM Fashion Director says: Faux real.

We’ve met before, haven’t we? Droooooool.

The dress is cute, but I am loving the contrast of the thick-strap shoes. delicate shoes+delicate dress = can look prissy.

I am Loving the look of  these OTK books with a low heel and motorcycle detailing. Makes them look less like Julia Roberts at the beginning of Pretty Woman and more like Julia Roberts at the end of Pretty Woman.

Lace Dior boots=Love. Had trouble finding them online…I’m digging the pearls too (which are a HUGE trend right now and going into autumn.

The horse is odd but the Valentino boots are fab!

Gucci never fails to make me fall head over heels in lust every season. This autumn is no exception.

The only way I can stand birds is when feathers are on Manolos.

In conclusion: NM did pretty good. Only a few true misses (CLOG!) and a lot of really great hits (OTK Motocycle boot, anyone?)

Above is th back cover: NM Butterflies but in leaves! very artistic. I approve.

I agree! I am tired of this excruciatingly hot weather. I want autumn boots and leggings and hats already!
